En febrero celebramos el Mes de la Historia Afroamericana. Sus orígenes se remontan a 1926, pero oficialmente fue anunciado por primera vez por el presidente Gerald Ford en 1976. Es una oportunidad para rendir homenaje a los afroamericanos olvidados por la historia o a los que lucharon activamente por la abolición. El movimiento para acabar con la discriminación todavía está en marcha, por ejemplo, recientemente hemos escuchado más sobre el movimiento Black Lives Matter.

In February we celebrate a Black History Month. Its origins are back in 1926, but it was first officially announced by the president Gerald Ford in 1976. It’s an opportunity to pay tribute to Afro-Americans forgotten by the history or to those who actively fought for the abolition. The movement to end discrimination is still going, for example, recently we’ve been hearing more about Black Lives Matter movement.
